Adding fonts back that were previously removed via FMU

Overview

You want to know how to add the QuickSilver fonts back that were previously removed via Tools > FMU > Remove Fonts.

When the QuickSilver Client is installed for all users to use the same desktop.ileaf, the FMU creates unique *.fam (font family) files to make them invisible.

The contents of these files are as follows:

Solution​

To restore the missing QS fonts (Helvetica and Times in your scenario), you simply need to perform the following steps:

  • Exit QuickSilver
  • Delete the helvps.fam and timsps.fam files from C:\BroadVision\qsilver_38.ileaf\fonts\families
  • Launch QuickSilver


The fonts should be restored as they were in my reproduction tests:
